Joseph is mobile

Joseph

Joseph is 5 months old now. He has his first tooth, can almost sit up without falling over, is not quiet or shy, he gets passed around every sunday so people (not just the ladies) can get their baby fix. He babbles all the time and does not like to be left alone. He LOVES to play with his brother and sisters and thinks they are the funniest people ever. He is a happy kid who loves to play and cuddle.

Halloween weekend

Halloween weekend was busy and fun. Friday night was the kids Fall carnival at the school dress- up and games. Then we went to my nephew's football game and then on to the pumkin patch where we enjoyed pony rides, a hay ride, jeep rides, and other games. It was a lot of fun. Then we went to the shop to put our costumes on and run to the trunk or treat where we had more fun games and face painting (attempted by me) and then candy afterward. Sunday we had a pie social after church and then we went to a friends house to go trick or treating in their neighborhood. It was so fun. The kids all ended up with a gallon size bag of candy , overflowing. Now instead of punishments, the threat is "I'll get 5 pieces of your candy if you don't listen." Then I kinda hope they don't listen. I should have taken a picture of us coming home Monday night. We were all wiped out, candy bags were broken the little kids wanted to be carried, I had costume props in my hands. But then as soon as we got back to our friends house , the kids woke up, "Why do we have to go home? " " You have school tomorrow," "Can't we just skip it and spend the night here?" Oh, wouldn't it be nice...

Michelle's wish is granted

My sister, Michelle said it was time I get more pictures up. I agree. I guess it just took a little pushing to make it a higher priority. Here is the inside of our new shop. We have a separate office area in another building as well as the one that Jon is standing at. His work area is in that back right corner. Those are mostly customer's stuff. Behind those sliding doors in the back is more storage room as well as more work benches for other mechanics.

THis is Jon working on a pump on a fire truck.

THis is the outside of our shop. The grass in front is where we put most of our ATV's and UTV's that we have for sale. I didn't get a picture of that

Now the good stuff. THis is Joe doing his catipillar crawl.

He found his fingers! Now he can be pacified with out eating, Yeah!

Too tired to care, sitting on the floor with a couple of my kids after working on Gma Hatley's house.

Leah's favorite thing about going to work at the shop once a week is "driving" the equipment. SHe likes the rides, as do the rest of the kids.

It was finally cool enough on this morning to open the house instead of using the airconditioner and the kids acted like it was middle of winter.

This is our buddy Matt who has gotten to live with us for a little bit lately. Unfortunately it is because they are getting ready to move to Utah. They will be missed. He and Joseph have become good friends. They are just two sweet spirits.

This was the first day in school , Yes, it was in Ausust, a long time ago .

Some baby bunnies we found in our yard and had to rescue from our dogs. The kids convinced me to give them some of my breast milk and have been feeding tham with an eye dropper. We'll see how our science experiment goes.

It's so hot in Texas we don't spend much time outside. The kids are starting to go crazy as we try to find new ways to entertain indoors. The kids took up grooming Jon while he was trying to take a nap. He said it was very relaxing. Emily decided it was time to groom her eyebrows and used sissors so they wouldn't be so bushy. I think she got a little carried away and now half of one of her brows is gone. Its been a crazy summer for our crazy family.

Joseph is 2 months

Joseph is a great baby! He is usually happy and is pretty easy to understand. I love to play peek-a-boo and coo with him. His smile is contagious no matter how tired or upset I am.
