Emily's Birthday

Emily turned 11 on Dec. 12th. We had a nice family party and she got some cool presents like her purple Bella Sara (horse book series that she loves) and some new boots. But most exciting of all was when our two new donkeys showed up in the middle of the party. We got a male and a female. Spot is the male and Chocolate is the female. Jon has had a great time learning and teaching about donkeys. They are really good with the kids. Emily has had such a change in attitude and has shown a great work ethic in taking care of them. She is in charge of feeding and watering them. It was taking her about 20 trips with the bucket to the water trough before we got the wheelbarrow. She couldn't carry a lot but she would keep working. She goes out everyday to shovel their pen. Yesterday she used her birthday money and bought a rabbit so she could have a cuddly animal in her room. She wanted a cat, Jon said a big fat NO. So they compramised and they decided a bunny would be good.
